Every piece at Shima Ceramics starts with an original hand-sculpted model, built the old-fashioned way — clay and hand tools. From that sculpt, molds are made, slip is poured, and each piece is trimmed, hand-glazed, and signed by hand. One artist, start to finish. The process is traditional and slow, and that's the point.

Rooted in the tiki mug tradition but drawn toward darker mythology — Japanese demons, Lovecraftian horrors, skull forms, and things that don't have names yet — these are objects made to be collected.
