The Kitsune is a trickster fox from Japanese Folklore with godlike powers. This mug is the second in a series of Japanese Demon mugs that I plan to make.

This is a very limited edition mug. Only 80 will be made in total. This edition, the “VS” (very special), with classic Kitsune coloring will be an edition of 50. It has a matte finish on the outside, gloss on the inside. Machine wash safe but hand wash encouraged.

It is a large mug, holding 30 fluid oz, and measuring 8.5”L x 6.25”W x 5.75”H.

NOTE: The “super matte” glazing effect is achieved by using no glaze (white) or underglaze (colored), which is more susceptible to scratching/staining/chipping than other glazed finishes. Please handle accordingly.

Like all Shima Ceramics mugs it is produced 100% in house, in Port Costa CA. The original is sculpted by hand, not 3D printed.
